Kwame Blewusi, 27, died last Monday from wounds sustained when his unregistered motorbike collided on Sunday night with a saloon car at the outskirts of Taviefe, near Ho.
The Ho Motor Traffic Unit of the Ghana Police, which is investigating the accident, said two others on the bike were responding to treatment at the Volta Regional Hospital.
A baby belonging to one of those on the bike is said to be in intensive care.
Mr John Kpano, Station Officer told the GNA that Blewusi who was riding the motorbike from Ho allegedly rode into the lane of an on-coming vehicle, while trying to avoid a parked vehicle, and was subsequently hit by the on-coming vehicle and dragged along for some time.
Eric Abotsi, Blewusi's brother told the Ghana News Agency that his brother was returning from a traditional marriage ceremony in Ho when the accident happened.
He said a 'good Samaritan' using the deceased's mobile phone called him (Abotsi) to the Regional Hospital, but Blewusi died before he got there.
Mr Kpano gave the names of those on the bike with Blewusi as, Mary Azuma and Enyonam Blewusi.
