The Seventh Quadrennial Delegates' Conference of the Construction and Building Material Workers Union (CBMWU) of the Trades Union Congress (TUC), has elected Mrs Salina Dabuoh of the Upper East Region branch of the Ghana Highway Authority as its National Chairperson.
The first and second Vice Chairpersons positions went to Mr Paul Alezuma and Mrs Hannah Bennin respectively, while Mr Pius M. K. Quainoo was re-elected General Secretary for a second four-year term.
Others were Mr Jacob W.K. Otum, Deputy General secretary, Mr John Kundeka Anafo, National First Trustee and Mr Kingsley Aboagye, Second National
Trustee.
The conference was held under the theme: "Guaranteeing Social and Economic Right for all Construction workers in Ghana".
In a brief address at the weekend to end the conference at Cape Coast, Mr Quainoo thanked the delegates for the confidence reposed in them and pledged to work harder for the next four years.
