The Association of Retired
Inspector Generals of Police has urged the Minister of the Interior, Dr. Kwame Addo Kuffour, to work relentlessly to push forward the legislation, of the terms and conditions of service, of the Ghana Police Service.

In a statement signed by Mr. R. K. Kublenu, Secretary of the Association, it noted that, “This is to inspire a lasting confidence and motivation, in all ranks of the personnel of the Ghana Police Service.

“This will enable it re-gain its glory, as an enviable protector of life, property and the democratic values of the country, and pledge their unflinching support for the Minister,” the statement added.

It stated that Dr Addo- Kuffour's long term of office at the Ministry of Defence, saw a huge improvement, and prayed that the Minister translate those laudable achievements to the Ministry of the Interior.

The Association emphasized that, “Though the Honourable Minister's earlier stint with the Ministry of the Interior was short, but it was indeed remarkable, as he took the welfare of the men and women of the Ghana Police Service serious.”

The Association congratulated him, Dr. Addo Kufuor, on his new appointment, as the Minister of the Interior.
