A GROUP of petty traders by name 'Kejetia Unique Club' (KUC) has openly thrown its unflinching support for Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo, flagbearer of the New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Making the announcement, Mr. Clement Nsafoa, Chairman of KUC, urged traders in the country to vote massively for the NPP presidential aspirant, insisting, “Nana Addo is the right person among the lot to carry Ghana to the Promised Land”.

Considering the fabulous works of President Kufuor's administration, he sternly appealed to Ghanaian workers to give their vote to the NPP because, as he put it, “that is the only party that has the interest of workers at heart”.

Mr. Nsafoa was speaking during the official inauguration of the club, whose members are staunch NPP followers, at the Centre for National Culture in Kumasi recently.

With a membership of over 150, the group which was formed in 2006 is made up of traders at the Kumasi Kejetia.

Among the prime targets of KUC is to help the NPP retain political power this year, and promote unity and oneness among the traders.

On his part, Mr. Kofi Dubai, Vice Chairman of the group, described the impending general elections as crucial, and thus appealed to the electorate, especially traders, to start vigorous campaign for the NPP to enable the party retain political power come December.

Mr. Dubai mentioned donating generously to the numerous foster homes in the Garden City as some of the unique achievements chalked by the group during its two years of existence.

He promised of KUC's readiness and desire to continue offering essential support to the less privileged in society in the years to come.
