
Dr Daouda Toure, UN Resident Coordinator, laying a wreath, on behalf of the UN Secretary-General at a flag-raising and wreath-laying ceremony in Accra yesterday to commemorate the International Day of United Nations Peacekeepers.
At the ceremony, medals were presented to some peacekeepers who distinguished themselves during their time of service.
Posthumous medals were also presented to widows of some peacekeepers who died during operations.
