Married couples have been urged to team up in the training and education of their children to develop good morals, be disciplined and responsible citizens.

Madam Grace Obeng-Donkor, Nkoranza North District Chief Executive, gave the advice when inaugurating a branch of Catholic Women's Association at Saint Joseph's Roman Catholic Church at Busunya.

She stressed the need for women to respect and support their husbands in the upbringing of their children.

Madam Obeng-Donkor advised parents to invest much of their resources in the education of their children and refrain from discriminating between boys and girls.

She noted that Election 2008 was crucial and appealed to religious leaders to continue to pray for a peaceful election.

Reverend Father Andrews Addae, Parish Priest in-charge of the church commended members of the association for their invaluable roles towards the growth of the church.

He advised Christian mothers to allow the teachings of the church reflect in their social lives by eschewing backbiting, enmity, gossiping and social vices that were against the teachings of the church.

Rev. Fr. Addae urged traditional and opinion leaders in the district to promote unity, love and cooperation among themselves and the people to initiate development projects to enhance their living standards.

Nana Yaw Amo, Krontihene of Busunya and an elder of the church, paid glowing tribute to Mrs Margaret Sarpong and Madam Anna Owusuaa, for organising the women to form the association.
