Ghanaian Arrested With Police Pistol

The police have arrested a Ghanaian resident in Nigeria with a police Scorpion pistol on the suspicion that he may have been using it for robbery.
P.M.News gathered that the Ghanaian, whose name was given as Kofi Opoku, was picked up when a police anti-robbery squad from Isokoko Police Station raided a dingy part of Agege reputed to be a hide-out for criminals last week.
The team, led by Sergeant Peter Ernest, following a tip-off, raided the hideout at Isale Oja in Agege and in the process, caught the Ghanaian with the police pistol. Other suspects were also nabbed along with him.
It was learnt that the Ghanaian and his cohorts are undergoing interrogation in the hands of policemen at the Isokoko Police Station with a view to uncovering the source of the gun and for what purpose he was using it.
