International Child Resource Institute, a non-governmental organisation, in collaboration with Lakeshore in the United Kingdom has donated learning materials worth $10,614 to four day-care centres in Accra.
The items which include toys, books, and pencils, among others were presented to Osu Presby Kindergarten, La Day Care Centre, Teshie Day Care Centre and Mamprobi Day Care Centre at a short ceremony in Accra.
Presenting the items, the Director of International Child Resource Institute, Hannah Odjenma Botchway said the items would go a long way to compliment government's efforts at providing quality education in the country.
'These items would make teaching in the beneficiary schools child-centered,' she noted.
In September last year, International Child Resource Institute organized training for 50 early childhood providers in the Greater Accra Region.
Mrs Botchway urged the beneficiary day care centres to use the items judiciously.
