iBurst Launches New Product

iBurst Africa has officially launched its presence in the country with the introduction of a new product.
The company is also planning to reach other regions of the country soon.
The occasion which took place over the weekend also saw the company revealing a new technology, the iBlink 2Mb/s modem which is yet to be launched anywhere in the world.
The iBlink modem will offer twice the throughput of 1Mb/s modems currently available in Ghana.
Speaking at the launch, Deputy Minister of Communications, Frederick Opare Ansah said it is commendable that iBurst Africa, a new Pan-African telecommunications provider, is one of the most advanced mobile broadband wireless networks in the world.
He noted that the fact that Ghana has been chosen as the pioneer to lead the deployment of this mobile broadband wireless network in West Africa affirms Ghana's leadership in the area of information communication technology (ICT) within the sub region and on the continent.
The Chairman of iBurst Africa in Ghana, Isaac Osei-Agyemang said choosing Ghana underpins how seriously the company takes the Ghanaian market.
The internet service provider already has operations in South Africa and is expanding to Democratic Republic of Congo, Mozambique, Tanzania, Kenya and Zambia this year.
To date, iBurst Africa has invested $4 million in Ghana to ensure superior coverage and speed in Accra.
