There is a little story in today's ADM about “floating voters” rooting for Dr. Paa Kwesi Ndoum.
It is true. I have been hearing much of that lately. It cannot be good news to my NPP and JJR's NDC.
During the NPP campaign to elect a presidential candidate, many of the aspirants made much of their ability to attract floating voters.
The argument was fairly straightforward: We will by all means retain our core 40-something percent but we will need extra votes from somewhere to reach the 50+1% required to clinch an outright victory.
Well, barely a month after the congress and it is payback time already. The floating voters are hovering uneasily above.
Call them perceptions, call them fads, call them anything, but the moment an idea starts sprouting, it can only grow, therefore the NPP and NDC would toy with this floating voter thing at their own peril.
And come to think of it, which of these four stands the chance of attracting floating voters: Nana Akufo-Addo, Paa Kwesi Ndoum, John Evans Atta Mills and Edward Mahama?
