The Nkoranza South Constituency of the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will conduct primaries for three aspiring parliamentary candidates.
Mr. Peter Owusu Baffoe, Constituency Chairman of the Party told the Ghana News Agency (GNA) at Nkoranza that chairmen and secretaries of the various branches of the NDC would form the Electoral College.
He named the aspiring candidates as Mr. James Opoku-Worae, a teacher, Mr. Kwaku Poku Boah, a lawyer and Mr. Emmanuel K. Agyemang, an economist and said they had gone through vetting at the party's Regional Office in Sunyani.
The Constituency Chairman advised the delegates who would be unable to turn up for the voting but would like to be represented by proxy to submit introductory notes to the constituency executives two weeks before the exercise.
Mr. Baffoe commended executives at both the constituency and branch levels for their concern and commitment towards the growth of the party.
He advised them not to be influenced with money and gifts by some politicians to lure them into their fold but to remain faithful to the party.
The youth should live above reproach and respect authority since any negative practice would be a disgrace to the party.
Mr. Baffoe also called on leaders of the party to eschew petty squabbles, gossiping and backbiting.
