I celebrate my personal 55th anniversary this coming Sunday, September 16; half a century + 5 of different experiences and expectations.
Earlier in the week, September 11 was observed with sad memories and next week September 22 would be upon us with nominations opened for NPP presidential aspirants to contest for the sole position of presidential candidate this December.
It is a day that should start a process which hopefully would end on December 8 2008 with a 50+5 for the NPP.
Some times, no, I correct myself, most times, I wonder if the NPP presidential aspirants are as committed to an NPP victory as some of us. They are being so self-destructive and it pains me so much that they cannot see the signs of hara kiri writ large all over!
The next elections are going to be fought not from any intellectual or even “issue” based speeches or debates. It's going to be a purely visceral affair and which ever of the parties gets that right also takes the keys to the executive mansion at Flagstaff House! Why these 17 NPP presidential aspirants cannot make this simple deduction is what is beating me in this my 55 years of life on planet Earth!
