Samini, the reigning African hiphop champion has confirmed that whenever he comes out with a new musical album he does it in a grand style.

Releasing his third album, Samini has demonstrated his ability to carry along with him all classes of people – the young and the old – his lyrics and rhythms are heart-soothing and leaves no one behind.

In a chat with The Mirror last Wednesday, Samini said his latest album which has just started enjoying some airtime is titled, 'Dagarti (Know Your Roots)'. This album was produced by the Samini Music Label.

According to the hiplife musician, the album has 21 songs and he intends using it as a tool to conscientise the youth to know where they were coming from and where they are heading to for them to appreciate the challenges that lay ahead of them.

Samini, a indigene from the Upper West Region of Ghana said, his songs in different languages, English, Dagari and Twi with the Dagarti flavor running through almost all the songs, will be officially launched in November.

He said the themes of the songs of his new album include agriculture which uses to espouse the virtues of farming, an idea, he believes, could be used to woo the youth to venture into farming so that Ghana could have adequate food security. Samini himself owns large cassava and maize farms in the Western and Ashanti regions.

His album also targets children, especially the disadvantaged, on whose faces he hopes to use part of the revenue from this new album to put smiles. He also hopes to set up an orphanage.

Samini described his new collection as the tsunami of the season and that when he comes out officially it is going to top the charts for a considerable period of time.

He collaborated with Steel Pulse, Nameless from Kenya, Etana from Jamaica and Sway, an international hiphop start from United Kingdom on his New York.

'You will now see Samini more matured and stronger with more live and action packed shows adding extra spice to everything', he declared.
