He may not be the originator of hiplife, but the rapping prowess of Obrafour cannot be denied. For a little over a decade, he has set himself apart from the lot in terms of proficiency and relevance, churning out great lyrics, rhymes and metaphors that have indeed established him as one of the fore estates of the hiplife genre.

The 'Rap Sofo' has come out after his short hiatus following his last hit album, 'Heavy' and already there are talks that the new album under construction will leave fans jaw dropping but still foot stomping and head bumping. Like they say, game recognize game and the rap lord is fully aware that he wouldn't reign forever. Seeing the amazing promise and potential of Sarkodie, Obrafuor has chosen the young rapper as the right heir to the hiplife throne. This subtly is the theme for the upcoming video for his untitled new single featuring Sarkodie.

The video for the single was recently shot and is yet to be edited. The song which may be titled 'Hiplife' describes how young rappers of today behave when they get a little fame. In the song, Obrafour advises young hip-lifers to stay cool and calm and to concentrate on their music; refrain from womanizing and other negative stuff.

The Jaded Renegade hears that at the end of the video shoot Obrafour gave the 'King of hiplife' crown to Sarkodie. He said Sarkodie was the best person to hand over the crown to. Stay tuned for the video!
