Sarkodie, Yaa pono and Kofi Korea are some of the names you will hear if you should tune in to Adom fm on a Saturday night. With heart pounding beats and ear attacking but soothing raps, Dr. Duncans, Kasahare level will definitely make you nod your head.

The program is about the only platform for unknown rap talents to show the world shat they have. The presenter, is actually so kind that he allows a few rappers whom you can feel through their raps, do not know jack about rap-music also have the floor. It is no surprise that on Saturday nights, Adom Fm becomes home to the many young rap talents who helplessly roam the streets of Accra and Tema in the day. Similarly, many young men who enjoy rap music find solace in this radio program and

There are a few programmes on radio these days that live up to the expectation of unearthing talents and giving such talents the opportunity to shine on their radio platform, thus attracting prospective producers and record labels. One of such programmes is Adom FM's Kasahare level hosted by ace presenter Dr. Duncan.

The show gives young rappers the opportunity to battle against each other and have the general public vote for who is best via phone calls. The programme has brought to fore a lot of Underground rappers. One only needs to listen to the programme to see how bright the future of Hiplife and rap is in Ghana.

It's amazing to see how our boys in boarding schools gather around that little radio which sits on the frame on the dormitory window every Saturday night. One can almost see the hope that stands tall in the eyes on these young ones during and after the show, even on Sunday morning.

The programme has been instrumental in introducing and promoting some of our current stars including Sarkodie. Sarkodie was on the show countless times and still occasionally graces the show with his fast paced rap and interesting lyrics. In a country where unemployment is a major problem for the youth, any venture that supports youth talent development should be commended.

Dr. Duncan, Adom Fm and the technical crew who have produced Kasahare Level for the past years have done a great job. Even though it's not a talent competition, Kasahare level stands tall above the talent hunt programs the run on our TV stations. Do you need evidence? Look at what it has turned Sarkodie into!

We do hope that other radio stations will emulate this example and produce programmes which will help develop the music industry in Ghana.
