Irene and Jane's performance at the eviction of Lucille in the Big Brother Africa show last Sunday truly made Ghana proud.

They were the only performers on the Big Brother Africa 3 eviction show to gain the approval of the producers of the show to sing live. All previous performers have mimed their own songs.

According to Fred Darko of Charterhouse, who accompanied Irene and Jane to South Africa, every musician had the option to either sing or mime their songs but that it was the producer's prerogative to approve of a musician singing live.

He said after listening to Irene and Jane at the rehearsals, the producers did not hesitate to allow them to sing live, which they did, much to the delight of the audience who had gathered to watch the eviction show.

Those who watched the performance on TV will bear witness to their performance. The ladies felt at ease on the stage, interacting and sharing the songs with the audience, who seemed very familiar with the songs, and, when after their second performance they were asked by the presenter whether they were supporting Mimi, they replied with all enthusiasm that they were loving Mimi.

The fun for Irene and Jane did not end at the performance. They were invited by the producers to share dinner with Lucille.

Although the duo is currently working on separate albums, it is clear that the young ladies have made quite an impact on the African continent and whatever they come up with will be impressive.

In another development, Munya, Uti and Ricco are up for eviction this weekend. Now it's up to viewers to decide the fate of the nominated trio — and remember, you're voting for the person you'd like to see evicted!
