TLC Concept, a leading production company committed to promoting the music industry in Ghana, has introduced a new group of artistes onto the music scene.
The group, which comprises Ampem Darko Yeboah aka Mutafari and Anthony Owusu Acheampong aka Realitee in an interview with BEATWAVES, said their album which is the very first of its kind, is a mixture of hiphop, hi-life, rap music and even gospel music.
Rudy Goody as the group is called, has its album labeled, “Taking Over” with 10 songs and two bonus tracks.
Songs on the album include 'Wisdom for Freedom', 'Heart breaker', 'Pension Pay', 'Wasted Time', 'Hate It', 'Naughty Baby' and the title track, 'Taking Over'.
The group revealed that they are graduates of the Catholic University at Sunyani in the Brong Ahafo Region where they developed interest in music and decided to start their musical career although they began separately.
They also pointed out that they began their first recording at Sunyani where as a group they recorded their songs with Big Creations Studio, but had to boost their music by coming down to Accra for recording at OM Studios in Accra.
Realitee and Mutafari noted that their album, which will be hitting the market this month, is available at all leading musical shops in the country.
Richard Abbey Junior, manager of the group revealed that the duo has already started attending a variety of shows in the country, and will entertain any company which is willing to feature them in any concert within and outside the country, adding however that it is the hope of the group to promote their music outside the African continent.
Currently the group is planning a joint collaboration with some local and foreign artistes like Bandana, Vibz Kartel and Shawn Kingston.
The group used the opportunity to thank their sponsors DLD Collections at Tesano in Accra and producer Latifi Abubakar
