NEW: Ghana Tourist Villas offers an unforgettable holiday and business experience in Accra.
Broadcasting in Ghana can be rated among the most respected careers which the youth of today are all vying to be a member of this great and enviable profession. As we promised in the beginning of this year we will do our possible best to bring to the limelight all these great men and women on radio who are helping to shape the nation. We will do our best to move to all parts of the nation were radio stations are located to bring you all you have to know about these men.

This time the “Who Is On Radio” team traveled again to the Brong Ahafo Region, and Dormaa District to be precise; and our first destination station was Gift 105.5 FM. The tag for this week falls on the news editor Patrick Osei Kwadwo who received the team warmly and took time to grant us this interview.

Patrick is the current news editor, the host of their highly patronized talk show “Akwua fuo Nkosuo” a program designed for farmers; here they discuss what farmers can do to improve upon their yields and also strategies for farmers with the help from the Agric expects from the “Cocoa Abrabo Pa Company”. He also does music presentation and a Twi book reading on Thursdays about life.
To him reaching this far never came on a silver platter because he had been through a lot of turbulence time from the beginning when he started from Sky FM in Sunyani as a music presenter, a talk show host and a newscaster. He worked for four years until misunderstanding strike between him and management which led to the termination of his appointment. He then decided to try his luck at Classique FM at Techiman where he was given the same kind of programs he was handling at Sky Fm.

After seven months he joined the GBC radio station, radio B.A.R in Sunyani as a presenter of their major Twi programs and he did this for almost two years. Due to problems he was encountering with his head of departments every where he went to he decided to end his radio career and consider other options since he had been trained as a professional tailor. Several months of shunning radio he was later poached by the CEO of Gift FM, Mr. Francis Boahen who to him valued the talent possessed by Patrick and can never watch die off.

Patrick's decision of giving radio another chance was a good one he said and to him his plans for the future is to go back to school because he thinks he can still make it in life if additional effort is added on. He also implored everybody never to give up in their profession no matter the circumstance because a lot of people will stand as Goliath but with a little patience their David will appear.
