The premises of Oman 107.1 Fm, an Accra radio station, was thrown into a state of confusion on Monday when officers of the Ghana Police Service clashed with music enthusiasts at the station's first ever music jamboree dubbed “Bosoe”.

The clash came about due to persistent pressure on the large crowd to “fall back”, something which was impossible since the crowd was too much for the space at the venue.

One could therefore see the crowd move from one side to the other in a bid to get a better space to stand and watch the artistes live on stage.

At the same time the Police were spotted busily pushing and caning music fans for them to move away from the edge of the boundary that had been created.

The last straw that broke the camel's back however was when the Police got into the crowd and assaulted anybody who came their way.

However, the crowd, in retaliation, threw stones at the Police for what they called the inhuman treatment meted out to them, during which some of the fans got wounded.

Beatwaves saw a young lady whose leg had been trapped in one of the metal barriers mounted to check the crowd, crying bitterly and complaining of a leg dislocation. Also spotted was a young man with blood oozing from his head, while a number of children were declared missing.

A woman believed to be in her 30s was seen crying that she had lost her six-month-old baby whom she was carrying before the chaos.

According to her, she was falling from the attack when someone pulled the baby from behind. As events unfolded, Oman Fm crew helped to locate some of the missing children.

The confusion, which last for about 20 minutes, however came to a halt when Hon. Kennedy Agyapong, MP for Assin North and owner of Oman Fm mounted the stage and asked the crowd to exercise patience else he would not organize any free musical show again.

Meanwhile, the station's presenters, Delay and Okyerefo, who were MCs for the show pleaded with the Police to be careful in handling the fans, while they asked the crowd also to calm down.

The programme which was organized for listeners to have fun commenced with some interesting display from Delay. As early as 3pm the whole venue had been filled to capacity as fans kept coming in every minute.

The show was preceded by an open performance from Junior Justice, a dance group which did impressively well.

Abizbiz Live Band was the second to perform, then came artistes such as Ohemaa Mercy, Kweku Sarpong, Mframa, Lucky Mensah, Grace Ashie and Nana Agyemang.

It was during Kofi B's performance that the pandemonium broke out, but after bout 20 minutes things returned to normal.

Other artistes such as Borax, Cee (mentor 2), Isaac (Mentor 1), KK Fosu, Andy (Mentor 1) and Joe (Mentor 2) also treated fans to delightful performances.

The rest included Daasebre Gyamena, Amakye Dede, Kwabena Kwabena, Akatakyie, C-Zar, Ebo and more.
