NEW: Ghana Tourist Villas offers an unforgettable holiday and business experience in Accra.
It's really amazing how people, particularly celebrities often forget and despise their humble beginnings. Some even shudder to talk about their hometowns and how it all started for them.
They sometimes feel that their privacy would be in public domain if they talk about their beginnings.
The case of Batman Samini formerly called Emmanuel Samini, a popular musician residing in Dansoman City, a surburb of Accra is no exception having had a first hand experience with humble beginnings.
Now Batman Samini's star began to shine when he had an encounter with now-faded Mary Agyapong's at a night club in Dansoman while he was still a student. Little did then humble Emmanuel Samini know that his journey to success had just begun.
After he featured on Mary Agyapong's second album, producers who saw the gift in him started featuring him on their albums. One particular album that shot the baritone Hiplife/reggae musician into the limelight was Kokoveli's “Zaaza” remix. It is an undeniable truth that Batman's appearance on the album favoured it.
Eventually, Batman Samini released his first solo album, “Linda”, which performed creditably well both locally and internationally. He topped the various music charts in the country with “Linda”, earning him two enviable awards at the Ghana Music Awards: New Discovery of the Year and Best Hiplife Artiste.
In fact, many ardent followers of the Ghana Music Awards, since its inception in the year 2000 were taken aback when the nomination list was released. Even before the nomination list came out, the selection committee had summoned Batman to explain the content of his songs. According to them, some lines in the song contained profanity.
Soon after he won his first music awards, the seeds of arrogance began to grow, being “manured” by the many shows at which he performed.
Around mid 2006, Batman released his second album, “Batman Samini” – an album which is not far from being tagged as dross. Interestingly, the copy of the album was bought by a business woman for a whopping amount of ¢ 100,000,000.
Sadly, his current moneyed state is gradually winning more enemies for him than friends. He became an untouchable and unapproachable musician in the country after his trip from England where he received the award as the Best Artiste in Africa during the MOBO (Music of Black Origin) awards last year.
His relationship with the very radio presenters who helped made who he is today has turned sour; appearing to be extremely swinish.
One particular radio presenter who indirectly blasted swanky Batman Samini's character was Akwasi Aboagye of Peace 104.3 FM based in Accra. For lack of boldness he attributed his sayings (blast) to the public.
If Emmanuel Batman Samini wants to go up in life, he must not forget where it began and the people who have helped immensely contributed to his success.
Batman should know one thing that those who helped him climb the ladder are the same people he is likely to encounter when descending.

I beg to differ on this article. Batman Samini is actually a very deep and well spirited individual who is in touch with the depths of humanity. He is very shy and modest and may come accross as reserved and this can be translated as being snobbish. He is not. He is a community oriented person and Ghanaians should just minimalize thier inclination to be negatively critical.
