A renowned music producer and sound engineer, Joseph Appiah, known in the music scene as Quick Action, has produced an audio version of the 1992 Constitution which is currently going through editing.

The young music producer who is also the chief executive officer (CEO) of S24 Studios disclosed this at a press briefing held at the Abbeam Institute of Technology, saying he decided to produce the audio version of the 1992 Constitution in some selected local languages for those who cannot read and write.

According to him, the production of the audio version of the Constitution which has been endorsed by a number of personalities, including Rev Dr Ampomah Abbeam Danso, forms part of his social responsibility to make the 1992 Constitution available to every Ghanaian.

“Most Ghanaians are ignorant about the laws of the land but the law states that ignorance of the law is no excuse. People feel lazy to read the Constitution and hence getting basic information from the Constitution in an audio form and in languages like English, Twi, Ewe, Nzema will help the illiterates who cannot read,” he mentioned.

The music producer revealed that copies of the yet-to-be released audio version of the 1992 Constitution have been sent to parliament and some prominent people in Ghana, including Chief Justice Georgina Wood for approval.

Endorsing the idea, the Founder of Abbeam Institute of Technology, Rev Dr Abbeam Danso, stated that the idea would help many people to get access to the Constitution in various Ghanaian languages.

He urged corporate organisations and individuals to support Quick Action to enable him to achieve his dream of making the 1992 Constitution available to every Ghanaian.
