Ghanaian movie producers hardly reveal the amount invested in movies, but Nana Kweku-Duah ,the CEO of Nakwadus productions has revealed the amount Local movie producers spend per every movie they produce.

Speaking to Reagan Mends of www.razzonline.com ,Nakwadus, who was answering a question pertaining to the amount of money movie producers spend per every movie they produce indicated candidly that they spend nothing less than GHC25,000.00:

"Local movie producers spend nothing less than Ghc25,000.00 _even that is not up to the standard we want but because people don't buy movies now a days, we don't get enough monies to produce standard movies like the foreign movies",He opined

Nakwadus, touching on some of the numerous problems facing the movie industry also blamed TV stations in the country for contributing to the decline of the local movie industry .

He explained that TV stations demand huge sums of money from local producers before airing their movies yet, they do not give enough publicity to local movies as they do for foreign ones.

He argued further that the inability of the government to also focus much more in the movie sector has hindered the sustainability of the local movie industry:

"The President keeps campaigning that he has created jobs but the movie industry creates more jobs than all the sectors in the country_ lets do the analysis ,if you have about ten producers and every body is shooting a movie or series look at the number of people they are going to employ

"But the government is focusing on different sectors which is bad so this are the basic things killing the local movie industry',Nakwadus told www.razzonline.com

Nakwadus, who is well noted for the movie titled "Obinim" and TV comedy drama series, ‘Abrabo’, appealed to the government to focus much more in the local movie industry to sustain the industry.
