AUG 23, 2016 LISTEN

Popular Ghanaian music group,G2 Agyenkwa known in real lives as Ahmed Salifu and Charles Anaman have refuted controversy lurking around that they are copying the musical style of defunct Ghanaian music group Antwi ne Antwi.

Antwi Ne Antwi who are also known in real lives as David Kwasi Okyere Antwi and Michael Kwame Antwi, created an identity for themselves as traditional artistes, borrowing rhythms from all over Africa including Nigerian juju and Francophone African sounds.Their unique music was a great blend of hiplife and highlife with their most popular song being 'Sekina'

Ironically,G2 Agyenkwa, whose musical style is also a great blend of hiplife and highlife have come under severe criticism by most showbiz enthusiasts who believe the music duo are copying Antwi ne Antwi,

Responding to their critics in an interview with Reagan Mends of www.razzonline.com ,G2 Agyenkwa rebutted those perceptions by indicating candidly that Antwi ne Antwi as a music brand died a decade ago,thus never would they copy a dead brand ;

"When we hear people criticizing us that we are copying Antwi ne Antwi,it really baffles us.Reagan Mends,let us be frank with you, Antwi Ne Antwi as a music brand died some decades ago so never would we copy a dead brand",G2 opined to www.razzonline.com .

G2 Agyenkwa added ",We wouldn't want to say we are better than them,because it may look as if we are singing our own praises but we want those criticizing us to carefully listen to our songs especially our new song titled "Asomdwe", and see if we are copying that dead group.

The duo,who have two albums namely "Manisanka" and "Akwaaba".appealed to their critics to stop criticizing them and urged their fans to watch out for more hit songs from their camp.
