The trailblazing TV3’s Ghana’s Most Beautiful (GMB) pageant season “10” train kicks off from the Aburi Botanical Garden rightly after 10 female contestants were unveiled by the Chiefs and queen mothers in the Eastern Region.

Speaking at the ceremony, Otoobuor Djan Kwasi II, Aburihene and Adontenhene of Akuapem Traditional Area said he is particularly happy that TV3’s Ghana’s Most Beautiful pageant is re-awakening the conscious effort of introducing the younger generation to our traditional and cultural values which is gradually being overshadowed by the influence of western culture.

He noted that the GMB pageant has made it very possible for one to learn the culture of another ethnic group without necessarily visiting the place.

“Today, what we can say is that TV3 and Ghana’s Most Beautiful have set the pace into a new dawn reminding us to go back into the past (sankofa) for our treasury,” Otoobuor Djan Kwasi II emphasized.

The District Chief Executive (DCE) of Akuapem South, Winston K. Afari-Djan said the GMB pageant distinguishes itself from the numerous beauty pageants organized in the country from absolute culture point of view.

He urged the contestants to use the opportunity avail them to learn and teach others about the rich culture and tradition of the Ghanaian people especially to the viewing audience of the Ghana’s Most Beautiful show.
