Popular hiplife artiste, Adjei Yeboah Maradona, known in showbiz as Guru, is predicting President John Mahama and the National Democratic Congress (NDC) will lose the up-coming elections unless they 'sort out' challenges in the country.

The rapper drums his message home in his latest single, “My Take’’ which highlights hardship Ghanaians are enduring under the present government.

He insists that, the truth must be told to the President, irrespective of how his supporters feel about it.

The song released about a week ago has typical ‘political’ composition by musicians and stirred controversy, as some individuals tagging the rapper as a sympathizer of the opposition party.

Speaking on Nhyira FM’s Kasahare Movement entrainment show over the weekend, Guru said he speaks for himself and his fans through the song.

Though he refused to be drawn into discussing government performance, the ‘Lapaz Toyota’ hit-maker pointed out the current energy crises is one of the numerous challenges impeding national development.

In response to suggestions that his music is being sponsored by the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP), the musician, who claims to have relatives in the current government answered in the opposite.

“I don’t do politics…music is a career. If you carry it you will get to the next level…I don’t need to do a song for a political party to make it…can’t sell my fans to a political party,” he said.

Guru advised Ghanaians to make the right choice in the coming elections since their decision will affect their future.

He says he will continue to campaign for peaceful elections in the country.
