Okyeame Quophi, a former member of the hiplife duo, Akyeame, has commended the ex-wife of comedian, Funny Face for keeping mute since the controversy surrounding their divorce became public.

He has described her silence as a sign of maturity and has also chastised comedian, Funny Face for making comments publicly and accusing his ex-wife of infidelity.

Funny Face divorced his wife, Elizabeth Nana Adjoa Ntim about seven months ago barely two years after marriage.

According to him, Funny Face erred by failing to keep his marital life secrets but rather chose to comment on them publicly.

Okyeame Quophi was contributing on the topic ‘Why celebrity marriages normally suffer casualties’ on Adom Entertainment Hall in an interview with Mike2.

“As a celebrity, you should always try to shield your marital life from coming public especially when there is a problem because there is always a high possibility that you may patch up the relationship someday,” he stated.

The hiplife artiste, music producer and presenter, who now wants to be called Quophi Okyeame, said celebrities like Obaapa Christy and Esther Smith among others whose marriages hit the rocks acted childishly by making public pronouncements about the problems in their marriage and that led to the divorce.

He further explained that there are differences between celebrity marriages and non-celebrity marriages because there are lots of pressure on celebrity marriages but how to survive it depends on how the individuals solve their differences.

Okyeame Quophi stressed that celebrity to celebrity marriages are the most difficult due to the fact that the egos are normally high in such marriages so it takes only total understanding between the two to keep the marriage going.

“You don’t expect your wife to always be in the house to serve you food after work whilst you know perfectly well that she will be on set to shoot a movie. You just have to find yourself some food to eat and hope that she would be available the next time to prepare you your favourite meal,” he emphasized.

Quophi Okyeame added that most of the celebrities also fail to explain to their partners the nitty-gritty of their work before they marry and that have also contributed to the high rate of divorce cases among celebrities.

“There will always be love and peace if there is an agreement between partners,” he said.

The CEO of Emklam Production Company also explained that some of the celebrity marriages hit the rocks because they do not make adequate time for their partners due to their daily busy schedules.

The rapper hinted that he has been married to his wife, Stacy Amoateng, who is also a TV presenter, for the past eleven years and the are still forging on.
