Gladys Osei-Wiredu, former host of the White Carpet Show on Joy News, has been adjudged Ghana’s TV Hostess of the Year.
She won the award at the 2016 edition of the City People Entertainment Awards (CPEA) at Yard 158, Oregun, 34 Kudirat Abiola Way, Ikeja Lagos, Nigeria.
Gladys beat some well-known television personalities including Adwoa Saah Boateng, Berla Mundi Addardey, Selly Galley, Nana Konadu, Stacy Amoateng, Gloria Sarfo, Melody Kukua Ibrahim, Naa Ashorkor and Baisiwa Dowuona-Hammond to win the award.
The CPEA is an annual award ceremony with primary objective of recognizing the contributions of Nigerian and African Entertainers.
The award ceremony, in its 7th year, is not only focused on recognizing Nigerian entertainers but also highlights others who continue to make an impact in the immediate communities in Nigeria or extended communities in the diaspora.
