Kumasi Movie Players Are Not Agents Of NDC - Miracle Films

A renowned Film Director cum Producer, Rev. Samuel Kwesi Nyamekye has vehemently debunked the reports that the entire film players in Kumasi are agents of the ruling National Democratic Congress.

According to him, the perception that some industry players in Kumasi have endorsed the candidature of President John Dramani Mahama ahead of December Elections is far from facts.

Rev. Samuel Nyamekye speaking on Ashh Fm National Agenda on Friday stated categorically that the film industry in Kumasi has no political affiliations.

Furious Nyamekye told host of the show Odeefour Kwasi Kay point blank that it will be a suicide for the industry players in Kumasi to endorse the NDC and its Presidential Candidate.

‘’ we have not endorsed President Mahama and we will not endorse him because the industry is not a political movement people should get this clear’’ he stated ‘’Ola and his cohorts cannot use FIPAG’s name or the film industry as a pivot to pursue their agenda’’. ‘’Ola is nobody in the industry for that matter he cannot use our names to champion his political interest, how many movies does he have?’’

Mr. Samuel Nyamekye of Miracle Films further made it clear that, those who have endorsed the president and NDC are doing so with their own interest but not the entire industry.

He however clarified that, he is not against those who have endorsed the president but they should not use the industry name to champion their whims and caprices.
