Rising gospel music sensation, Louisa Annan, has called on Ghanaian gospel musicians to see gospel music as a calling but not a business.

“We should see it as God’s work but unfortunately, some people get involved in it because of money and they get to a point where the whole expectation is not being manifest, it gets very disappointing. As far as it’s your calling and destiny, just keep working on it and God is [going to] do wonders with it,” she said.

She was speaking to Joy News in reaction to whether gospel music is a business venture or a calling.

“I believe gospel music is a whole ministry, it’s a calling… My passion is to sing, I love pharmacy, and it helps keeps the house going,” she added.

Responding to her plans to pursue gospel music on a full-time, the new signee of Media Excel said that it is her biggest dream to pursue music as a full-time ministry.

Louisa believes in working for God who is the rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.

The gospel act, who is working on her upcoming album, revealed that she would love to collaborate with some giants in the Ghanaian gospel music industry such as SP Kofi Sarpong and Nacy. She described the two as gospel musicians whom she adores.

She is also set to perform on stage with other great acts at the upcoming Kaywa Playlist Live at Tema Sports Stadium in July.
