Beasts of No Nation, the movie that features young Ghanaian talent, Abraham Attah, has been nominated for the “Best Movie” category in the 2016 edition of the BET awards.

The Netflix movie, which was released in 2015, has already raked in awards like the African-American Film Critics Association (AAFCA) award, the Excellence in Contemporary Film award at the Costume Designers Guild Awards and the Outstanding Independent Motion Picture award at the Image Awards.

Abraham Attah, with his role in the movie, has also won the Best Male Lead at the Independent Spirit Awards, Best Actor in a Leading Role at the Ghana Movie Awards, Best Male Newcomer at the Empire Awards, UK and the Best Young Actor at the Broadcast Film Critics Association Awards.

At the 2016 BET awards, Beasts of No Nation is competing for that category against Concussion, Creed, Dope and Straight Outta Compton.
