Agya Koo Is Not Marketable – Film Producer

Film Producer cum Marketer Mr. Paul Agyei has disclosed that, Ace Actor Alexander Kofi Adu known in showbiz as Agya Koo is no more marketable on the market.

According to him, Agya Koo movies are not selling in the market for the past four years.

His comment comes days after Agya Koo claimed that his absence on screen has created a vacuum for Kunkum Bhagya and other trashes on our local television stations.

However speaking in an interview on Ashh fm in Kumasi, Paul Agyei who is the bankroller of Paul Gee Films Production stated that, the actor is no more marketable though he is a versatile actor.

Paul Gee who spoke in an interview with Nana Amoako on the E-Zone Show on Sunday said “although Agya Koo is a great actor, he is not marketable at the moment and I would not cast him for a movie since most of the target audience are not much interested in buying movies that had him starred”.

Paul Gee believes that Agya Koo dwindling career is not as a result of him being good actor but as a result of other great actors such as Kwadwo Nkansah (Lil Win) who is now the people’s favorite and can quietly play his roles.

‘’ For the past four years when you go on the market the demand for Lil Win movies is higher than Agya Koo’’ he said

He admitted that, Agya Koo indeed played a key role in resurrecting the Ghana movie after the demise of the late Bob Santo.
