Madam Leticia Eshun, mother of Isaac Yeboah, who until his death was manager of ace musician Abrantie Amakye Dede, has expressed shock at calls on the musician to account for money made at the deceased's funeral.

The aged mother and siblings of Isaac Yeboah have also expressed disappointment in popular radio presenter Alfred Larbi aka DJ Oxygen, who has hopped from one radio station to another saying Amakye Dede was not hurt in the accident which claimed Isaac's life.

They have accordingly called on him to stop tarnishing Amakye Dede's image and allow the soul of the deceased to rest in peace.

“It is not everything that we can put in the public domain, but we have done our own consultations and Isaac's spirit has told us to thank Amakye Dede for being such a good person in his life. When we called Isaac, he told us Amakye Dede did not kill him but it is not everything we can put out. All the money from the funeral donation was given to me personally and it was shared between Isaac's children who had an amount of GH¢20,000 to be used as fixed deposit for their fees, the mother who had GH¢10,000 to be used as treasury bills for her upkeep and an amount of GH¢1,530 to be used by the family as transportation back to Takoradi. The total amount was GH¢31,530,” Isaac Kwesi Mensah, eldest brother of the deceased, told NEWS-ONE.

“I think some people want to make Amakye Dede look like a bad person and they are going on radio asking him to account for the donations at Isaac's funeral. As a family, we were in charge of receiving the entire donations and after the funeral, Amakye gave everything to us. Amakye was the one who paid for the funeral expenses but when the donations came, he did not subtract his cost. He gave us everything and even said we should sell the car Isaac was using and add that money to the GH¢20,000 he was giving to be used as fixed deposit for the children's fees. If someone is moving round saying Amakye should account for the money, we should not keep silent; we have to speak out to clear his name because we are not a family of ingrates,” Mr Kwesi Mensah noted.

ISAAC'S SISTER ANGRY
One of Isaac's elder sisters, Maame Betty, was vexed and said whoever would go on radio to question Amakye over funeral donations without first checking from the family must have other motives rather.

“We are his family and we have not asked anyone to speak on our behalf. No one should use the death of our brother to settle his or her personal scores with Amakye Dede. It is insensitive and very unfair for someone to use this sad loss to destroy Amakye's name when in fact, he was the one who helped us bury Isaac. The family should be the ones talking and not someone from somewhere with his own agenda,” Maame Betty added.
