Vodafone has reached a sponsorship agreement with the producers of popular TV show, “Agro Fie.”

Agro Fie is a local entertainment programme designed to educate Ghanaians on the traditions, values and ideas of the country in a fun way. It employs such acts as dancing, singing and comedy on its platform to bring variety to its numerous viewers.

Vodafone’s takeover is expected to heighten the excitement and enthusiasm for a show which has gradually become the very heartbeat of local television. Vodafone hopes to create a lasting affinity with customers through its association with the television programme.

Commenting on the sponsorship, Agnes Emefa-Essah, Director of Marketing at Vodafone Ghana said:

“We have partnered with Agro Fie because it has the right platform for us to reach out to customers across the country. The concept the show employs fits very well with our ethos as a company. We hope that this partnership will bring a renewed atmosphere of great learning in a fun way for the Ghanaian citizenry.”

Vodafone hopes to use its newly introduced Mobile Money platform, “Vodafone Cash” as the underlining product to be promoted on the show. Agro Fie is hosted by veteran Ghanaian actor, David Dontoh.
