Ghbase Begs Asamoah Gyan

Owners and managers of Ghbase.com have issued an official apology to Black Stars captain Asamoah Gyan for the series of stories the news site recently published regarding what has become known as the 'Asamoah Gyan-Sarah Kwabla saga'.

Ghbase.com is the employer of Osarfo Anthony, the journalist standing trial on charges of conspiring to extort money from the Gyan camp. The apology was issued last Friday.

Osarfo Anthony used the news site's letterhead to sign an undertaking in which he demanded an amount of GH¢25,000 from the Gyan camp to cease publishing negative stories about the footballer.

Ghbase.com, renders an unqualified apology to Asamoah Gyan, its entire management, family and fans for bringing his name to the mud over some publications, the site had published about what was termed as the 'Asamoah Gyan-Sarah Kwabla saga'.

Ghbase.com regrets making those publications as it never in anyway intentionally did that for any special agenda as some people might have thought.

Those publications were published based on the trust, the website imposed on one of its writers, Osarfo Anthony, who writes for the website.

Writers of Ghbase.com have a responsibility to write relevant and factual stories, that only truth can be squeezed and so, when those publications about Sarah Kwablah and Asamoah Gyan, were published, the sole agenda was to give a broader view of the story but investigations by management of Ghbase.com has revealed that, certain details were missing.

A deeper digging into Sarah's side of the story also revealed that, she could have her own personal agenda which Ghbase.com wasn't aware of at the time and only sought to use our medium which has in a way dragged Asamoah Gyan.

We therefore sincerely apologize to Asamoah Gyan once again, and pray that, he forgives the website for allowing itself to be used.
