President of Film Directors Guild of Ghana (FDGG) Richard J.A. Boating and the Greater Accra Regional Director of FDGG, Haruna Seidu Soale aka Zoree, are currently in India for a two-month industrial programme on post-production and special effects (SFX).

This is courtesy the Indian High Commission in Accra which has decided to help unite both the Ghanaian and Indian movie industries in order for stakeholders to learn from each other.

The two Ghanaian filmmakers will also take part in a bilateral relations forum with the stakeholders of Bollywood.

The programme is designed to bring integration and collaboration between both countries' film industries and will started on September 7 and end on October 30.

The new development follows recent reports about Bollywood's interest in Africa, specifically Ghana.

The FDGG is privileged to be the first association to deal with Bollywood. The FDGG is not just made of directors but it is also the national association for all film directors, production managers, assistant directors and script supervisors (continuity persons) among others. It was inaugurated February 27, 2015 and has since remained one of the recognised associations in Ghana's movie industry.
