Stonebwoy, Flavour, Mavins to open 2015 MultiChoice Showcase

Ghanaian dancehall artiste, Stonebwoy is currently in Mauritius as part of a list of acts who will open the 2015 edition of the MultiChoice Content Showcase Extravaganza.

The musician is opening this year’s event alongside Nigeria’s music heavyweights Flavour and music group, the Mavins, led by Don Jazzy.

Stonebwoy, who won Best International Act: Africa at the 2015 Black Entertainment Television (BET) Awards, and the Nigerian acts arrived in Mauritius Monday ahead of the opening night Tuesday.

The MultiChoice Content Showcase Extravaganza, in its second year, is Africa’s biggest television content event where MultiChoice, owners of DStv and GOtv, brings together content providers and media personnel at one venue.

The extravaganza, dubbed #OnlyTheBest, showcases only the best international and local content in the spotlight at Mauritius beach resort, Outrigger Spa and Resort, venue for this year’s 5-day event.

This year, about 200 people, including representatives from different local and international channels and journalists, have converged in Mauritius for the extravaganza.

Last year, the event witnessed exciting performances from continental stars like Sarkordie, Tiwa Savage, Diamond, Lola Rea, Mi Casa and Davido. The stars composed a campaign song, ‘Africa Rising’ for last year’s extravaganza.
