OKYEAME KWAME last Saturday organised an educational campaign and a free screening on hepatitis B for more than 1,000 people at the Prempeh Assembly Hall in Kumasi.

The screening exercise, organised by Okyeame Kwame Foundation (OKF), is an annual event which aims at helping kick hepatitis B out of the country.

The primary focus of the foundation is also to raise awareness and education about hepatitis B, a viral infection which infects the liver and causes an inflammation.

The award-winning hiplife artiste expressed his profound appreciation to MDS Laboratory and MTN for their indispensable roles in the successes of the foundation so far.

Okyeame Kwame, however, advised the youth to take hepatitis B screening very seriously 'because the hepatitis B is a preventable disease and AIDS is not. So they shouldn't fear when coming to screen.'
