Matox Media Challenges DJs @ Peace FM, Okay FM, with DJs Competition

Matox media Concepts, one of the popular event organizing companies in the industry is set to organize its first DJ Competition for Despite Group of Company’s subsidiary media houses, namely –Peace FM, Okay FM, Neat FM, Hello FM and UTV.

The competition, which is aimed at bringing fans closer to popular DJ’s on the three popular Despite Group’s stations as well as give opportunities to individual DJs to learn from each other, is dubbed “Who Rocks the Show?”

In a chat with two members of the organizers of the event, Stephen Frimpong and Julius Klaga, they revealed to Mustaphainusah.Com that, though there are over 20 good DJs at Peace FM, Okay FM, and Neat FM – but they decided to select two reps from each station.

As to why they are not involving other stations, the CEO of Matox Media explained that this is the first edition so they have decided to use only one media conglomerate to test the waters.

“When we succeed, in our next competition, we will see how to add other companies to it to help make the radio DJ job more attractive” he added.

According to him, the competition will kick start on 17th July, 2015 at the Oceanic Beach (Korle Gonno) with DJs such as: Old Soldier represents Peace FM, DJ Yellowman representing Peace FM, DJ Youngboy representing Okay FM, DJ Bosco representing Okay FM, DJ Toxic representing Neat FM, DJ Nortey representing Neat FM and DJ Phletch representing Okay FM.

Artistes on the bill are: Gasmila, Bak to Bak, Perpy, Bisa K Dei, Snow and many more. So keep your fingers crossed as you await 17th July, 2015 as the Despite boys engage in a healthy competition to showcase their DJing art out of the studio.
