Mr. John Eshun, father of missing hiplife musician, Theophilus Tagoe, known in showbiz as Castro, says he missed his son deeply on which 'Father's Day' was celebrated recently.

He said, his house was grief-stricken during this year's Father's Day celebration, which fell on Sunday, June 21, because Castro who always made him feel special on the day was not around to do so.

Speaking to Adom FM, on how far the police had gone in the search for Castro and Janet Bandu, Mr Eshun said, "we only have one police service in Ghana so we can only believe that they will get to the bottom of this and let us see what really did happen."

Castro and Janet Bandu went missing on July 6, 2014 while jet skiing at Aqua Safari, a beach resort at Ada.

Asked if he believed Castro was missing or dead, he said, "water takes people and returns them so if these two people supposedly got drowned, at least we should find one of them but it can't be possible for the two to go missing like that so the family hasn't given up, we are still going on with the investigations."

On whether the family had tried any unconventional means to find out the whereabout of his son, Mr. Eshun said, "we worship God and believe in Him so we haven't tried anything of that sort".

He also pleaded with Janet Bandu's father, Mr. Joe Bandu, to exercise patience and wait on the police.

"We have both lost and are going through a lot so I'll request that he exercises patience but I will not say that I'll take Castro from Janet if Janet should surface now," Mr Eshun added, alluding to comments by Mr. Bandu that if Castro should turn up alive, he would demand his daughter from her.

Mr. Eshun acknowledges efforts by some of Castro's friends and colleges who checked on the family and helped in the quest to find Castro and Janet when they went missing.
