Whiles Blakk Rast, a reggae musician and host of Taxi Driver programme on Hitz FM and Kwaw Kesse also a hiplife musician have come out publicly to advocate for the legalization of Marijuana also known as ‘wee’, some organizations and civilians have also vehemently condemned this advocacy.

Speaking at the ‘International Campaign Day Against Abuse and Illicit Trafficking’ with a theme ‘Lets Develop Our Lives, Our Communities, Our Identities Without Drugs’ over the weekend at the Tema Technical Institute, Mr Creg Afful, president for the CREG Foundation stated that legalization of marijuana will be a very dangerous step to take as a country.

According to him it will be good to educate our youths especially on the campaign against the use of drugs so we don’t have students or our future leaders engaging themselves in smoking and other irresponsible abuse of drugs that will endanger their health. He pleaded with government to give deaf ears to Blakk Rasta’s recent campaign in legalizing ‘wee’ since it will do the country no good.
