Shatta Rako; " I Am The Originator Of The Name " Shatta" In Ghana".

Ghana's finest nifty, crafty,adroit,dexterous and industrous reggae soloist and dancehall performer, Rexford Kojo Amoah, popularly known as Shatta Rako, the instigator of the name”SHATTA” in Ghana has raised his trepidation vis-a-vis musicians in Kumasi. Shatta Rako after being signed onto Aspire Music Label; a record label owned by Y FM's presenter and manager of BET Award winner Sarkodie ;Sammy Forson has manifested his capabilities and artistic God-given talents with the making of a sundry of lovely music including both hi-life ,reggae and dancehall melodies.

Shatta has always confessed his love for his homeland Kumasi speaking of music especially when he recieves a colossally afirmative responds when he stands before his own people to give them the best of his performance. Shatta Rako is one of the world's superstars who have always had a poise in his talent. His recent post on his facebook wall denotes his great complacency of he being ready to lift the flag of his Homeland;Kumasi on the musical map of the world. He wrote;

“Ok now.. I am receiving a lot of calls, whatsapp messages and facebook messages about this “OSEIKROM” showbiz thing! Lemmi make a few clarifications.. Yes.. I sed it on many platforms in Kumasi I will do my best for our dear City! I brought up da idea of doing a collaborative song with ma “little brothers” in Oseikrom! I say ma my little brothers because most of the active artistes aside “Okyeame Kwame” are ma lil brothers.. However I think a few people's “ego” won't allow this course to run smoothly! I am not pointing fingers at anyone yet.. but I am sure we all know wha gwan!

People.. the Collaborations will come! I have already done one with Cabum IsMa NameChereshy.. and we kept it simple! But da word is “COLLABORATION” I can't do it alone! …to be continued!”

Again,he has made it clear that he is ready to battle the dancehall world after a long musical fallow period due to maximum focus on other duties such as designing video directing and editing. Shatta on an interview with “Magma” a TV presenter of Joyprime Tv of Multi TV on the 16th of May,2015,he verbalised he was inspired by his afficionados and music lovers about how good and quality his music is and how much they had fallen in love with his music works and hence had to recover to focus on the music now.

I am personally impressed with his versatility and talent not forgetting his lyrically fortified music packages.Well! He who much is given,much is expected.Shatta Rako is actually a talent-born musician and will surely break boundaries in the next few years to come,as already making waves with his “TALENT OVA HYPE” song. He has other songs including;Animal Farm, Rudebwoy Love,Gud4Evil,Wosisi Ananse,Gyal inna Mi Dp and many more. This is what transpired between us on an interview on 12th May,2014;

Jullie Jay-Kanz; Why Original Shatta Rako but not Shatta Rako.

Shatta Rako; Haha! I am the original shatta dear, the originator of the name shatta in Ghana. Shatta is a Jamaican name which is spelt Shotta. I just took the name on myself and decided to write in my own style as Shatta, so when I see anybody with name spelt as mine, I believe the individual copied from me. I am the original Shatta!

Jullie Jay-Kanz; Shatta Rako where have you been? You were once doing well in the game. What put u off?

Shatta Rako; I have been around but didnt pay much attention to my music career because i thought I was doing it for fun. Music my secondary passion.I am into designing and video editing but am back for good,ready to satisfy my fans and the world with my good works.

Jullie Jay-Kanz; what are you up to? What are your plans?

Shatta Rako; I have a couple good plans in mind and some collaborations to make with Stonebwoy,Iwan , Ras Kuuku and other dancehall artistes which I believe everyone would love and appreciate. The world should anticipate nothing but the best.
