Over the weekend, VGMAs 2015 artiste of the year, Stonebwoy made an appearance on GHOne TV’s hanging out with KOD show where he talked about how it all started for him, his journey so far, his fatal accident and more.

Everybody in this life when growing up had dreams of becoming one thing or the other. When asked by KOD what he dreamt of becoming, he said, “I wanted to be a military man; more or less take over from my dad, but my accident which was extremely fatal dashed my big dream, now I can’t even run and do a whole lot of stuffs anymore.”

Describing the degree of the accident, he said, “It was very fatal, very complex. Lots of people still think I was born with it, but truth be told, I wasn’t born like this, I was around 15 years old when the sad incident occurred.”

The multiple award-winning dancehall artiste is known to be that humble, respectful and calm gentleman. When he was asked whether he’s just making it up or that’s how he actually is, he responded, “What do I gain from being a rude person? Absolutely nothing so I just have to be calm, choose the proper approach to deal with stuffs, and do what’s right and expected of me.”

On what motivates and inspires him in life, he disclosed that he gets his inspiration from life, society and everything around him.

It has been rumoured for while that there exist a sort of intimate relationship between Stonebwoy and MzVee. During the interview, Stonebwoy sets record straight that there is absolutely nothing going on between him and MzVee, he disclosed, “MzVee is cool, she is beautiful, very young, if there is something that I got to do with her, then its music, but seriously we are just cool friends, we are not into any relationship of a sort.”

Stonebwoy is set to launch his 29 track album, ‘Necessary Evil’ come May 16th at the Accra Trade Fair Centre with a concert which will be featuring Sarkodie, R2bees, Samini, MzVee among other musicians.
