A new report has shown that 230 cars were actually destroyed during the making of the movie, which is a tremendous number. According to research made by carmudi.com.gh Almost all these cars were unceremoniously crunched into the world’s most expensive cube of metal scraps.

This was done after the Furious 7’s Richard Jansen ordered that all the damaged cars must be fully wrecked. According to him, the reason behind that is make sure people wouldn’t try to salvage and then potentially harm themselves in them.

Among the 230 destroyed cars, there were a number of Mercedes-Benzes, a classic Ford Crown Victoria, and a special Mitsubishi Montero. Jansen, the owner of Bonnie’s Car Crusher, said that it was kind of unusual to see a total of $143.6 million worth cars get crunched up and good for nothing.
