I have no issues with Sarkodie; says Castro's father
29.04.2015 LISTEN

Mr John Eshun, father of missing hiplife artiste Castro, has denied rumours he is disappointed in some Ghanaian artistes for not showing solidarity with the family since his son’s disappearance.

It was reported earlier this week that Castro's father was disappointed in Ghanaian rapper Sarkodie for not visiting Castro's family since his disappearance knowing the friendship that existed between the two.

But refuting the reports on Hitz Entertainment News on Hitz FM with Doreen Avio, Mr. Eshun said the incident to him is serious and not an entertainment issue.

“What happened is a big issue for me and it is so annoying to [see people] write that Sarkodie should come and apologize to my family. Will Sarkodie coming to apologize bring back what I'm looking for?”

He said, he got a call from someone who told him that Sarkodie should have said something about Castro when he and Castro's song 'Adonai' won Vodafone Song of the Year award at the Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA) on April 11.

Mr Eshun said, he told the person that, that wasn't his problem and that he has “better things” to think about.

Asked if he was disturbed because some artistes didn't show concern for his missing son, Mr. Eshun quizzed, “Will the artistes visit bring back [my son]?”

According to him, Castro has a lot of friends and he can't sit and count how many came to sympathize with the family and how many didn’t.

He said, they haven't heard anything so far about Castro's where about but are still searching.

Castro, born Theophilus Tagoe, and Janet Bandu went missing on July 6, 2014 whilst jet skiing at Ada in the Greater Accra region.
