Movie Makers, Producers Must Step Up Their Game-Says Christabel Kye

Script writer, movie and content producer, Christabel Kye, has called on upcoming film makers, television content producers to upgrade their professional skills to enable them to meet the challenges ahead.

She mentioned that if script writers and producers are able to develop their skills, they could meet the challenges ahead and also compete with those on the international scene.

Christabel, who has produced a number of movies like 'Love and Crime', said, 'To become a film maker, one has to be creative and to learn the rules of the movie industry in order to become successful. They must step up the game if they want to be counted among the best.'

She advised the upcoming film makers and those already in the industry not to look at their individual interest as that could only lead them to produce low standard movies, adding that that if Ghanaian producers fail to upgrade their skills, 'there is no way we are going to put ourselves on the map.'

According to her, movie producers should come together and work as a team to promote the growth of the industry.

Christabel Kye, who is also the producer of Trailler TV, a 30 minutes entertainment programme on GHOne Television, in a chat with BEATWAVES announced that her doors are opened for movie makers who want to be featured or interviewed on her programme.
