We first heard of him after he cautioned Shatta Wale to refrain from the use of Negative lyrics. His outburst caused a lot of fear and panic in the Shatta Wale camp, as many could feel his presence.

Masaany is a Dancehall musician who represents Tema and is referred to as the Dancehall Messiah. The young chap chose the right time to break into the industry, as a lot of us have grown weary of the constant "beefing" associated with dancehall music. Masaany's caution to shatta wale, was awe inspiring, as he spoke with dexterity and authority, commanding Shatta Wale to pave the way for him.

The aftermath of this message was an inferno of comments on various news blogs and youtube, Shatta Wale's fanbase was visibly shaken, as they attacked the Dancehall Messiah on every platform possible. These comments almost seemed to mirror what Shatta Wale and his crew may have been thinking, the fans were in shock and bewilderment, this fired them up and they threw some traditional shatta insult around.

The bewilderment however continued in Shatta Wale's camp, as sources confirmed that the self styled dancehall king, felt that his throne was threatened and that there was a high risk of looking vulnerable to Masaany a.k.a Dancehall Messiah. Shatta Wale wouldn't let his ego down, therefore he got in the booth and recorded the biggest mistake of his career, "Dancehall Messiah" a new SM4LYF song that aimed at solidifying Shatta Wale's sovereignty in the game.

It was hilarious to hear Shatta Wale declare himself the Dancehall Messiah, now forsaking the long battled for "Dancehall King", the contradiction was major. The song portrayed Shatta Wale in bad light, making him appear threatened.

Masaany in an interview with Hypingghana, stated that he was glad to hear Shatta Wale call himself a Dancehall Messiah. According to the original Dancehall Messiah, it made him feel like he had won a soul to heaven, "I am happy to welcome shatta as one of my sons and disciples, he just has to live up to the title and start sending positive messages in his music", Masaany stated.
