Politics Not My Thing – Bola Ray
20.04.2015 LISTEN

Popular Ghanaian presenter and Chief Executive of Starr Fm, Bola ray, born Nathaniel Kwabena Adisi, has said he has no intention to go into politics.

The host of Starr Drive announced this in Accra on Friday when the station outdoored his new co-host, Anita Erskine.

'Politics is not my thing. We will support the politicians; all of them, whether Mr a or B or C, but we won't go in there,' he said on Friday.

Bola's remarks come at a time when a number of top media gurus have expressed interest in going into politics.

Among them is former Joy FM morning show host Kojo Oppong-Nkrumah, who has already officially announced his intention to run as a parliamentary candidate for the Ofoase Ayeribi constituency in the Eastern region on the ticket of the opposition New Patriotic Party (NPP).

Names like Okay Fm's Abeiku Santana, Egbert Faibille Jnr, journalist Kenneth adjei Kuranchie, who is the Managing Editor of the Daily Searchlight newspaper, and a host of other top media guns have all declared their intentions to run for political power very soon.

Many entertainment fans have been asking if Bola ray makes up the list. But on Friday he said he had no political ambition and that he preferred to work and support the politicians.

Later that evening, he used his radio platform to inspire listeners, urging them not to envy people's successes. he admonished listeners to rather admire and learn from successful people.

'..That is my philosophy in life. i said you can't do it all alone. Create and share and when you see great minds tap into them. i tell people don't envy, just admire. That's my slogan. i am full of admiration for my other colleagues on other networks who are doing great. that's how it should be. let us celebrate people instead of bringing them down. let's tell them that we can do it together,' Bola ray said.
