Italians normally say", Quello che ' scritto ' scritto", meaning, what is written is written. He waited for 34yrs. But the question is, can you really have a waiting heart like GEORGE FOREST?

Yes, after 34years of producing over 175 albums for different musicians, known in real life as GEORGE YAW OWUSU but publicly known as George Forrest, a Kumasi based sound engineer has now received his first major award at this year's VGMA. He was adjudged the BEST SOUND ENGINEER.

George Forrest came into the music industry at the age of 12 with NANA ACHEAMPONG ,AKWESI AMPOFO ADJEI,NANA ABOAGYE DA COSTA ,CHRISTIANA LOVE ,OHEMAA MERCY & PHILIPA BAAFI among the numerous artists he has produced their songs as a sound engineer throughout his 34yr blistering career.

In a chat on phone with Dj Murphy Lee on Storm Fm 101.9 mhz based in Sunyani concerning the award he won, George Forrest expressed how delectable it is to be patient in life, specifically pertaining to the work you engage in.

"My brother, award is good, but if you rely on awards it will deceive you. After all these years, i never gave up because i wasn't given an award but worked assiduously & now it has beard me fruits", he noted.

Throwing more lights into the success he has chalked in the industry, George made a revelation which marveled most of the listeners of the show.

"Gospel music in the 90ths went 'dead' but i stood firmly and resurrected it again. Song by YOUNG MISSIONARIES titled EMMANUEL which i engineered really impacted positively in making gospel music what it is today", he revealed to Storm fm.
