Africana Multimedia Agency Ltd (AMA) is pleased to announce the official launch of Black Star Magazine. The first issue will be available on various outlets throughout the UK and Ireland on Wednesday 15. The much-awaited magazine, with a circulation of 10,000 copies, will offer a rich and relevant content that reflects Ghanaian culture.

According to Jean-Claude Ablet (aka Papa), publisher & editor of Black Star Magazine, said: 'Black Star Magazine is designed to offer a distinctive media option to Ghanaians in the Diaspora and we ourselves the target of becoming the No1 Ghanaian magazine in the Diaspora within one year'.

It is a well-known fact that for any individual to thrive in a society other than their own, access to information that is relevant to their cultural and social background is an imperative. Thanks to its unique style of providing quality information, news and entertainment, Black Star Magazine, aims to stand out in the midst of other community publications, and in so doing, become a credible symbol of Ghanaian identity. Its responsiveness to readers and advertisers will make Black Star Magazine one of the main publications dedicated to the Ghanaian Diaspora in the UK and beyond.

The first issue of Black Star Magazine
Black Star magazine offers 40 pages of pure entertainment on Ghana Independence celebrations in London and Southampton! The Black Star Magazine logo, stamped in black, perfectly matches the star crafted on Ghana's flag. On the cover of the very first issue, the Ghana High Commission in the UK and Ireland along with his spouse are shown cutting the Ghana Independence Arch inspired cake celebrating the 58th Ghana Independence anniversary.

Format & Distribution
Our long and vast experience in publishing for various African communities has given us the opportunity to build up a unique and diverse distribution network. Over the years we have perfected our distribution practices to ensure that our Black Star Magazine reaches all Ghanaians no matter their location. Printed on eco and recyclable A4 glossy paper that has a silky feel, 10,000 free copies are to be distributed at more than 300 points in London and in major cities of the UK. As a bi-monthly, the magazine aims for a readership of around 100,000, as well as thousands of online readers. The Magazine will be available on more than 300 collections points and outlets across the UK including the Ghana High Commission, Churches, retail outlets, Associations, beauty salons, libraries, restaurants. Upcoming issues of Black Star Magazine will be published in early June 2015, August 2015, October 2015 and December 2015.
