The Kawanotomu project began in the minds of two ghanaian brothers, Fredrick Obeng aka Latidoe and Emmanuel Obeng aka Soul, from koforidua.
Faced with the reality of what living in America was really all about and the struggles their family and many others endured to pave the way for them, they felt compelled to reveil the truth about life in the so called land of "milk and hunny!" But this was no easy task! Since they inherited the love of music from their father Samuel Mfojo Obeng aka Rim Obeng former drummer for ghana's own UHURU Band, it seemed natural that music would be their medium to convey their message to the masses.
But yet they faced another obstacle. With the rates of recording studios in Hollywood, where would they get the money to finance such a project? After two years of frustration and working 40 hours a week but seeing no substantial return from their labor due to the mere costs of living, they began to seek potential investors to finance the project for them.
Little did they know that their investor would be of their own blood! Seth Obeng(CEO of BOS Entertainment), the second born, came to the table ready and willing to put his money where his mouth was: to finance the entire project.
